About ARRAY MIX BOARD
I
ARRAY MIX BOARD is a cutting board style utility with three members that form proportional triangles for pigment’s insertion and then slats that divide the number of steps desired. It is intended for use by artists who wish to gain accuracy and efficiency in the mixing of arrays of selected colors. The arrays may be for the tonal or coloristic transitions of portrait backgrounds or the transitional iridescence in a sunset or blue sky for example. Or it may be employed in the exact tuning of a series of objects or areas in an abstraction. It is a “CAT-alyst” to the selection and formulation of graded fields and stepped areas. So now the artist has gradations that counter the color contrasts chosen using the Cubes that may be arranged sensibly on the Palette.
